histoire de l'art

One day, bored about about my Plastic Arts studies, i decided to definitly be - in one try - in the History of Art. I noticed that there was three kind of person present in each page of History of Art books: artists (of course), but too difficult for me ; contemporary people wich artists made portrait of, easier ; and finaly photographs who reproduced the creations, really easy.

Of course i started with the easiest solution, if i take a photo of a creation, i'm allowed to put my signature on the border of the orignal creation, because a photo is a new creation and i am the author. I was really proud to be allowed co-sign so famous creations we find in History of Art books, with minimal effort. After, while searching for a creation i could honor with my sign, i found one with remarkable signature: The Arnolfini Marriage by Jan van Eyck. There is written in the middle of the picture "Yan van Eyck was present". So, as a photo is a new creation i could write somewhere "Camille Harang was present" too. But when making my new creation Yan van Eyck was not present, the original sentence was false, i had to fix it.

Then i had to explore the other solution, being the contemporary model of a famous artist. As my classroom was full of future artists, i would be unlucky if no one became a famous one. So decided to ask them to draw my portrait, to increase my chances i disguise myself in Joseph Roulin, the very unknown postman until Vincent Van Gogh provided him a good place in History of Art books. I keep my classmates's drawings at home, one day i hope it - and me - will be part of History of Art.

By the way, as i was on place with my camera, my contemporary classmates and my Arnolfini creation, i just used a knife to make my contemporary people's portrait too.
